Binary - Binary Bracelets

Binary Bracelet Instructions

Computers use binary to make decisions, which is a combination of 0’s and 1’s that store information. Much like when you have to make a decision with only two possible choices, computers do the same thing with binary! Binary is represented by two numbers: one (1) and zero (0). One (1) represents “on” (such as for a light switch), yes, or true. Zero (0) represents “off”, no, or false. When you have one “1” or “0”, it’s called a bit. Though, when you have a combination of 8 bits (such as “01100001”), it’s called a byte!
