Team 1086 Inspires Elementary School Kids for a life of FIRST® Robotics
At Colonial Trails Elementary School's PTA Math & Technology Showcase Team 1086 Wows the Crowd!
Well over 215 enthusiastic parents and children attended the CTES PTA Math & Technology Showcase. As the participants cycled through their learning stations, it was evident that the Blue Cheese 1086 team and robot was making a lasting impression. At first, the students stood back in awe of the soccer ball kicking robot.
Timidly, they moved closer encouraged by the smiles of the 1086 CheeseHeads. They listened with rapt expressions on their faces completely engrossed by the stories about competitions with the robots. There were exclamations of surprise and a few shrieks when the pneumatic kicker sent the ball flying.
The children were so sad to move on to the next station asking:
"When will you come back? When can I be a BlueCheese?"
With that, we knew our evening of introductions to FIRST® Robotics had been a total success!
